Choosing to Believe Again — When Silence Ends and the Heart Reopens

February 25, 2026
Silhouette of a Man During Sunset

It’s been a while since I’ve written here.

After my divorce, I needed silence —
space to breathe, to rebuild, to rediscover who I was on my own.

There were moments when I wondered if I’d ever feel that spark again,
the one that makes me want to share, to connect, to write.

Then one day, I heard a song that opened something inside me —
I Believe by Nikki Yanofsky.
And suddenly, the words started to come back.

There are songs that don’t just play on the radio.
They open a door inside us.

When I heard that song, I started to cry.

The kind of tears that aren’t about sadness —
but about truth.

The kind you shed when a song touches something you thought was asleep:
faith — in yourself, in life, in love.

For me, I Believe does exactly that.

After a separation, there is a silence.
A space between what was and what will be.

For a while, I couldn’t write.
Words felt empty, as if they had lost their echo.

And then one day, that song found me again.
Its simplicity disarmed me:

“I believe in the power of you and I.”

To believe — even after doubt.
To believe that the heart can heal.
To believe that connection — with ourselves and with others — is still possible.

This song reminded me that believing doesn’t mean denying the pain.
It means saying:
“You are part of the path, but you don’t define the destination.”

So today, I write again.
Not because everything is fixed or perfect,
but because I choose to believe again.

To believe in the beauty of new beginnings,
in the quiet strength of the human heart,
and in that light that never truly goes out.

🎶 I believe in the power of you and I.

And you —
what do you choose to believe in today?

Have I told you?
Thank you for reading this. I wrote it for you.
