There are days when letting go sounds simple.
And then there are days when it isn’t.
One morning, I couldn’t find my glasses.
I was already running late.
I searched everywhere —
the usual places,
then the unusual ones.
Nothing.
As time passed, my thoughts began to race.
My body followed.
What should have been a minor inconvenience
quickly became something heavier.
I left the house anyway, telling myself I’d deal with it later.
And somewhere along the way, something shifted.
I realized there was nothing more I could do in that moment.
So I stopped searching — inside my head.
When I finally came back home, calmer, slower,
I found them.
Not where I had looked a dozen times,
but exactly where they were meant to be.
It reminded me how often the mind tightens its grip,
believing that tension equals control.
Sometimes, clarity doesn’t come from trying harder.
It comes from loosening — just enough.
Letting go is easy to say.
Harder to live.
And still, every time we manage it, even briefly,
something softens.
Have I told you?
